Electronics Devices

Electronic devices are components for controlling the flow of electrical currents for the purpose of information processing and system control. Prominent examples include transistors and diodes. Electronic devices are usually small and can be grouped together into packages called integrated circuits.

Active and Passive devices

Difference between Active and Passive components?

Active components are the devices that are capable of delivering energy to the circuit. Active components are those that deliver or make energy or power in the form of a voltage or current.
  • Examples of the active components are Diodes, transistors, SCR, integrated circuits, etc.
Passive components are the devices that do not need any external source for the operation and are capable of saving energy in the form of voltage or current in the circuit. Passive components are those who use or store energy in the form of voltage or current.

examples of passive components are resistor, capacitor, and inductor.
